Tonight, singer songwriter Shelly Blake brings his eccentric musical stylings to Once Twice Sound. He’ll be performing along with ManDrum, a side project of Telesma’s Chris Mandra. If you are looking for something a little different in the middle of this cold, dark winter, Movement/Addiction and the UMBC Imaging Research Center present blink, an evening of dance, sound, video and computer technologies at the Creative Alliance. Imagine dancers in gossamer costumes, video images projected onto latex panels, and lots of crazy sounds and experimental music. Shows are Friday and Saturday nights at 8 pm. Visit www.creativealliance.org to find out more, or you can call 410 276 1651.

On Sunday afternoon, you have one more chance to experience the surreal, sensory overload that is The Labyrinth at the Amaranthine Museum. Artist Les Harris’ monument to art, philosophy, religion and life will be open one last time from 2 to 5 pm, before the entire installation is moved to its new home. And, they serve great mulled cider. The Amaranthine Museum is located at 3500 Clipper Road. Call 410 366 2368 for directions and information.

Next Thursday night the Voices of the Chesapeake Bay celebrate the release of their new CD with The Earl White Memorial Songs of the Chesapeake Bay Concert at the Ram’s Head Tavern in Annapolis. The performance will feature many of the regional artists whose work can be heard on the CD, and some of the proceeds will benefit organizations working to protect the Chesapeake Bay. For tickets and information go to www.ramsheadtavern.com, or you can call 410 268 4545.
