Saturday night (03.15.08) the arts collective Fluid Movement hosts a fundraiser for their upcoming event, the Bmore Love Parade. The evening of lover’s delights at the 14 Karat Cabaret Club will include the hypnotic hips of Jehna and Kamikaze Karaoke. Doors open at 8:30pm and the shower of love begins at 9:30pm.The 14 Karat Cabaret is located at 218 Saratoga Street. And again, it’s a benefit for the “Love Parade,” which is happening on Sunday, April 6th, as part of the Transmodern Festival in the Station North Arts District.

Everyman Theatre is getting set to sweep audiences away with their upcoming production of August Wilson’s, Gem of the Ocean. A blend of history and myth, this play chronicles the African American experience of the 20th century. The show begins next Wednesday and runs through April 27th at the Everyman Theatre – 1727 N. And looking ahead a bit, if you enjoy vintage radio soap operas and detective thrillers, you might want to check out “An Afternoon of Old Time Radio and Musical Fun,” Presented by the GRB Radio players. R.C. Allen re-creates classic programs with live sound effects and songs by Edie Nickerson. The live radio re-enactment takes place Sunday, March 30th, at the Bykota Senior Center located at 611 Central Avenue in Towson. The doors will open at 2pm and the show begins at 2:30pm.

Quantum Groove is a new weekly happening on Friday Nights at Bedrock, 401 W. Baltimore Street. Quantum Groove features electronic and experimental music by local and national DJs, always different and always fresh!
