Tonight at 8 P.M., the Baltimore Improv Group demonstrates the art of unscripted theater at one of their favorite haunts, the Hamilton Arts Collective in Northwest Baltimore. The long-form improvisational troupe, Gus, performs this evening, staging comedic scenes on the fly, all based on spontaneous suggestions from the audience. Details are on the web at www.bigimprov.org.

Also this weekend, the Theatre Project presents June Bride, a solo show created and performed by multi-talented performance artist Sara Felder. Through song and acrobatics, this mom, lesbian, and juggler extraordinaire recounts the true story of her traditional Jewish wedding… to another woman. Tickets and show times are at www.theatreproject.org.

Tomorrow morning at Enoch Pratt Free Library Central Branch, the Film Talk series presents a viewing of Modern Times, starring Charlie Chaplin. This silent classic is the last film to feature Chaplin’s beloved ‘Little Tramp’ character, and it follows his struggles to adjust to the fast pace of life in a newly industrialized society. The screening starts at 10 A.M., and a discussion follows the show.

And later in the day, the library will also play host to The Caribbean Women’s Literary Celebration in honor of women’s history month. This five-member panel features female writers of Caribbean descent who will be exploring the roles of Caribbean women both on and off the page. A book signing and reception follow the program, which begins at 2 P.M. More information is at www.epfl.net.
